One of the most experienced of a small pool of internationally renowned VFX talent in Ireland, Niall has incredible artistic flair and the rare skill set of being adept as both a Supervisor and a Producer. Niall started working in the Art Department as both Art Director and Production Designer with contributions to BAFTA winning and Academy Award nominated productions. Transferring his skills to VFX almost 15 years ago, Niall has since worked all over the world, mostly on the production side in both feature film and HETV, as an On-Set VFX Supervisor and an overall Supervisor. Niall has also been a VFX Producer.
Niall’s most recent credits include: ‘Foundation’ (2023) as VFX Supervisor, ‘Paradise’ (2023) showcasing his ability to handle the dual role of supervisor/producer, managing many hundreds of diverse VFX shots, collaborating with a wide range of vendors across the world, and ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ (2022) as an On-Set Supervisor.
Previous notable credits (as an overall Supervisor and On-Set Supervisor) include: ‘Kingdoms of Fire’, ‘Into the Badlands’ and multiple seasons of ‘Vikings’
Niall honed his skills learning from some of the industry's finest while working as a VFX data wrangler on ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’, ‘The Martian’, ‘The Lost City of Z’, ‘Dracula Untold’ and ‘Game of Thrones’. Niall was one of the very first to be hired as part of the team for ‘Game of Thrones’ that went on to scoop the show’s first two PrimeTime Emmy Awards (Outstanding Special Visual Effects) for ‘Game of Thrones’ - ‘Valar Morghulis’ and ‘Valar Dohearis’ between 2011-2013.
Niall has a charming, pragmatic personality and a wonderful temperament. VFX Hire has known him for years and we love working with him.
